The field includes two of the three international teams to have won their division at the U.S. Open Club Championships: Ellipsis and Revolution. The U.S. Open Club Championships is the only major international tournament in the United States and features 36 teams, 12 in each competition division, and includes 12 international teams. The event was first held in 2012 as the U.S. Open Championships but was combined with the Youth Club Championships beginning in 2017 and was rebranded as the U.S. Open Club Championships. The new, combined event is USA Ultimate’s largest event of the year, including more than 125 teams and upwards of 2,500 athletes.
The 2019 U.S. Open Club Championships will take place August 2-5, at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn. The International Club Championships division will be contested Aug. 2-4, with the Youth Club Championships teams competing Aug. 3-5.
