2018 marks the ninth YCC appearance for ATLiens since their inception in 2005. After winning a championship in 2013, the ATLiens have steadily finished the tournament at least in the quarterfinals. This year’s squad looks to continue the trend, having already finished fifth in the June club tournament ATL Classic with only two-thirds of their roster. ATLiens is packed with talent from seven schools across metro Atlanta, including co-captains Hayden Austin-Knab, Aidan Downey and Matthew Shu; nine veterans from the 2017 roster return and eight ATLas players from last year’s U-17. Players from the team will be attending Duke (Albright), Emory (Johnson, Shu), University of Virginia (Dillard), Georgia Tech (Pearlstein), Kennesaw State (Hill, Marshall), University of Georgia (Austin-Knab), and UNC-Wilmington (O’Kelley) in the fall.
