Baltimore Blackout is in its very first year as a team. When long standing members of our local ultimate community got together to try and promote youth ultimate in Maryland, our YCC U-20 mixed team was born. “Blackout” comes from the historic town of St. Michaels, Maryland. Known as “the town that fooled the British” during the war of 1812, the townsfolk hoisted lanterns into the trees each time the British Navy fired their cannons over and beyond the town. Giving the appearance from afar that the town was being destroyed. The British then sailed away with only striking one house in the town.
