Team Biography

Double Trouble comes from the heart of Texas, in the capital city of Austin, where youth ultimate thrives almost as much as live music. As a tribute to Austin’s live music heritage, Double Trouble has taken the name of the backing band for the great blues musician Stevie Ray Vaughn (SRV). Double Trouble is fed by Triple Threat, a team of developmental players who have also taken the name of a SRV backing band.

Just as ultimate’s Spirit of the Game is tantamount to the sport, SRV was a believer that “we are here, as far as I can tell, to help each other: our brothers, our sisters, our friends, our enemies. That is to help each other and not hurt each other.” Double Trouble hopes to scoot their boots all the way to the finals at YCC 2023, but can guarantee they’ll rock some socks off along the way.
